The Young Matildas have recorded their first win in the second phase of qualifying for the 2019 AFC U-19 Women’s Championships which began today in Myanmar with an 11-1 victory over Nepal.

Mary Fowler was in the spotlight with 5 goals, while Susan Phonsongkham, MelindaJ Barbieri, Rachel Lowe, Kyra Cooney-Cross, Indiah-Paige Riley, and Shadeene Evans all bagged one each.

Australia need to finish first or second in the group to secure a place in the 2019 AFC U-19 Women’s Championship scheduled for October and November this year.
