Cheryl – Hope Powell, for her contribution to football and for making a tough call to leave Brighton & Hove Albion

Michelle Walder, chair of the women’s and girls’ football club board, said: “Hope’s contribution to the development of women’s and girls’ football at our club, and for the women’s game in this country, cannot be underestimated.

Dale – 1) LAFC (brother club of Angel City) won their first MLS Cup in dramatic fashion, the atmosphere at the game was electric Joker) FIFA’s lack of communication means a lot of people missed out on WWC tickets and have to wait five months for the second phase of sales

Eric – Mathias Mildahl from AGF Aarhus has been incredibly helpful to me: not only did he arrange for a custom AGF jersey to be shipped to Australia, but he also got Matilda McNamara to send me a thank you note!

Lachy – 1) Molly Arens was named in the All-Southland Conference Second Team despite only playing nine games 2) Katie Godden was named in the All-Big East First Team and was also the conference’s top goalscorer Joker) The Pac-12 didn’t have simultaneous kickoffs on the final day of their conference season, giving Stanford an unfair advantage

Maj – 1) Anna Margraf scored her first goal for SV Meppen Joker) The AFLW have scheduled both semi finals so that they clash with Matildas v Sweden in Melbourne

Steffen – It’s always wonderful to see a Canberra local break into the national league. Congratulations to Sofia Christopherson, first outfield local since Sasha Grove from season 2020-21 to do so.
