Happy Birthday Pam!

Grant made her Matildas debut against Mexico in January 2003. While her senior national team career was relatively short, she still achieved a lot. Grant was a member of the Matildas squad that won the 2003 OFC Championship, and also made an appearance at the 2003 World Cup.

Domestically, Grant played five W-NSL seasons for Queensland Sting (2000-2004) and the Sting were very successful during this time, winning three titles.

Queens of the Week

Dale – our own Majella Card was brilliant as the Matildas Active Support capo on Saturday (we hope she gives her voice a rest)

Eric – on Saturday Peta Trimis scored a hat trick for Campbelltown City Quake in the NSW Futsal Premier League, then on Sunday she played a starring role in the Young Matildas Green v Gold training match

Lachy – Vanessa Mann is expanding her repertoire: she’s already a youth national team scout for US Soccer and the Technical Director for Oregon Youth Soccer Association, now she will also be an ‘A’ senior licence coach educator for US Soccer

Maj – it’s the obvious choice, but it’s still a good one: Caitlin Foord was unstoppable as the Matildas romped to victory over Sweden

Steffen – the timeless Clare Polkinghorne was offered the captain’s armband on Saturday and humbly said she would lead the team out, but that on field the captaincy would be business as usual
