With Aussies Ellie Carpenter, Clare Hunt and Sarah Hunter competing in D1 FĂ©minine, Beyond 90 will be keeping readers up to date with how their teams are faring.
Paris FC and Stade de Reims drew 2-2. The visitors found the net twice thanks to Rofiat Imuran (4′, 62′) and tested PFC’s reaction skills as the duo of Julie Dufour (60′) & Kessya Bussy (72′) came back to level the score.
EA Guingamp earned a deserved point as they drew 3-3 with Paris Saint-Germain. Tabitha Chawinga gave the lead to Paris at 30′, but Guingamp equalised quickly as Antonie Starova converted a penalty kick (33′). Once again, PSG took the lead at 58′ thanks to Marie-Antoinette Katoto, with Guingamp answering ten minutes later through Nina Richard at 67′ – and they even lead 3-2 at 75′ thanks to Maiwen Renard. But Guingamp’s dream of victory ended as Sandy Baltimore made it 3-3 at 78′.
Lille OSC took the points away to Montpellier HSC. La Paillade looked like they were on the way to victory, leading 1-0 at halftime thanks to their captain Marion Torrent (45+3′), but the team gave it away during the second half. Lille equalised thanks to Marjorie Castro Boilesen at 51′, and then both Torrent (56′) and OcĂ©ane Deslandes (61′) were sent off. With 11 against 9, Lille scored another one just before the final whistle with Julie Pian at 90+5′.
Le Havre won 2-1 away to Dijon FCO. The visitors opened the scoring thanks to ZoĂ© Stievenart at 7′, but the Swiss international Meriame Terchoun equalised at 14′. 17-year-old Chancelle Effa Effa gave the win to Le Havre at 72′, ten minutes after entering play. Le Havre’s win means that Girondins de Bordeaux are officially relegated (even before playing their game).
FC Fleury 91 won 3-0 away to Girondins de Bordeaux. LĂ©a Le Garrec (8′), Evelyn Badu (39′), and Batcheba Louis (55′) were the goalscorers.
For the first time ever, AS Saint-Etienne women’s team played in Stade Geoffroy-Guichard, called the Cauldron for its feverish atmosphere during ASSE men’s games – the best place for an ASSE – OL derby. However, OL broke ASSE’s dream early as Griedge Mbock found the net at 14′. Four minutes later, Wendie Renard scored with a penalty kick. Saint-Etienne believed again as they pulled it back to 2-1, thanks to Amandine Pierre-Lous (21′), but that goal would only bring short-term joy as Vicky Becho scored at 28′. Just before halftime, Kadidiatou Diani scored another penalty for OL at 45+4′.
In the second half, ASSE conceded a third penalty but Melchie Dumornay missed from the spot. The hosts then scored an own goal to make it 1-5, and Vicky Becho added a sixth and final goal at 90+3′.
