Having the ALW awards at halftime of the Grand Final today wasn’t well thought out. People go to get food and drink or use the bathroom at HT. There weren’t many outlets open so lines were pretty long. Just doesn’t give the winners the respect and audience they deserve.
— Nathalie Brough (@nbrough) May 4, 2024
They should make it an event where fans can attend for a price. Could easily have different price tiers – say $100 for a seat at a table at the rear or $200 for a seat at a table with the players. Have it in the city hosting the GF and have 2wk gap btwn the semi and the final

For context the 2022-23 season had a total attendance of 137,602. It was only the third dub season to crack six figures. Practically doubling that is 100% the Matildas effect in action.

Sensible Tweets
Fans can’t have it both ways. Can’t have high troll fandom culture and then also expect chats with players over the fence at the end of games.
Can’t expect passion, loyalty and grace when abuse is thrown from all corners.
It’s become inauthentic pantomime which is a shame. https://t.co/4y5RGIohvC

Emma Hayes has ZERO filter and that’s what makes her box office, sometimes it’s ridiculous but I think this is cool. Having women talk about menopause openly destigmatises it for women everywhere and that’s great! https://t.co/pluXFcbIlA
