We’re excited to once again bring you details of Aussies playing in Nordic football leagues (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland). Read on to see how they fared over the last week in our Nordic Wrap!

Kristianstads DFF took on the Damallsvenskan‘s toughest assignment this week, an away game against ladder-toppers FC Rosengård and their 100% winning record in the league. The visitors weren’t disgraced by a 2-1 loss, as Clare Polkinghorne saw out the full match and Remy Siemsen played the opening 84 minutes.

Rosengård have claimed the 2024 title with four rounds left to play – can they navigate their way to a perfect season?

Jada Whyman played a full game in AIK‘s key match-up away to fellow bottom-three side Örebro. The 1-1 draw wasn’t the result that AIK needed, with both teams remaining level on points. Goal difference leaves AIK in the automatic relegation zone.

Linköping FC battled to a 0-0 home draw with Hammarby. Angie Beard came off the bench in the 54th minute, while Polly Doran was an unused substitute.

In other news, the club held LFC Night, which gives hundreds of local young women footballers the chance to train at the Bilbörsen Arena, Linköping’s home stadium.

FC Nordsjælland retained top spot in the Kvindeliga with a 2-0 home triumph against Koge. Winonah Heatley played a complete game, and Malia Steinmetz played the final half hour of the contest. Wini also found time in her busy schedule to recreate a scene from Reservoir Dogs.

Unfortunately, Kolding have fallen into the promotion/relegation playoff zone after a 3-0 away defeat to B 93. Ava Collins was on the field for the whole game and picked up a booking in the dying minutes. Meanwhile, Ally Green was absent from the team sheet for AGF‘s 2-1 home win over Odense Q in the Cup, and their 3-0 away loss to Fortuna Hjørring in the league.

As there are no Aussies in the Toppserien, Nordic Wrap coverage of the league will pause here and resume if an Aussie joins the league.
