Aussies are playing in three Nordic leagues in 2025, and Beyond 90 will be there to follow their progress each week!
Round 4 of the Swedish Damallsvenskan competition was completed this week. Teams with Aussie players are doing things a little tough, with only Vesna Milivojević‘s Norrköping in the top half of the ladder in this early part of the season.
Jada Whyman took to the field for her first 2025 league start with AIK, having played significant minutes last round. AIK was beaten 4-1 at home by promoted Malmö, which propels the visitors into the top three and leaves AIK third last.

The entry of Angie Beard in the 63rd minute for AIK helped to stem the tide of conceded goals, with the visitors already at 4-1 up by then.

Vesna Milivojević played a full game for Norrköping in their 1-1 away draw with Linköping. This was the home side’s first point of the campaign, against a top-three side from the opening three rounds. Polly Doran came into the game for Linköping in the 66th minute.
Kristianstads put up a fight in their 2-1 away loss to FC Rosengård, with Remy Siemsen starting and playing 84 minutes.
The big news, however, was the return to action for teammate Amy Sayer after a year out recovering from an ACL injury.

A busy week for Nordsjælland began with a home Danish Cup semi-final against last week’s league opponent, Brøndby. This time, the home side got the better of Brøndby with a 2-1 victory, sending Nordsjælland into the Cup final on May 18th against Kvindeliga leaders Fortuna Hjørring. Winonah Heatley played a full match for the home side.
Three days later, Nordsjælland took on their Cup final opponents at home in the fourth round of the league. Perhaps emotions ran a little too high in anticipation, as Heatley picked up a yellow card in the 23rd minute, while a teammate picked up a second yellow with around 20 minutes remaining. All this conspired to ensure that Fortuna headed home 3-0 winners with some level of confidence around the Cup final to come.

Kolbotn is out of the relegation zone after Round 4 of the Toppserien, in which the home side defeated promoted Honefoss 3-1. Is this development a coincidence after Liz Anton‘s arrival last round, a round after the arrival of fellow Kiwi Olivia Chance? We think not.

There are no Aussies currently listed as playing in the Icelandic competition. If that changes, we’ll be following their progress.
