Queens of the Week
Meg Linehan, Sinead Farrelly and Mana Shim get Cheryl’s vote as Queens of the Week for exposing a truly dark side of football.
Maj debuts with two brilliant Queens painting Queens – Sarah Sculley and Kim Walmsley, who painted a mural at Football Queensland to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first recorded public women’s football match in Australia.
Eric – 1) Arsenal’s Mana Iwabuchi has had quite the week! Two weekends ago she made a defender fall over in the buildup to their fifth goal against Man City, then there was her nutmeg & goal against Tottenham in the FA Cup (see below), and then she scored last weekend against Aston Villa.

✨ some personal news ✨
after three incredible years freelancing, I'm so excited to be joining @abcsport permanently as part of their digital team 👩🏻💻⚽
it's such a thrill (& relief!) to be given a secure opportunity to continue doing what I love: promoting women in sport.

Dale selects Mackenzie Arnold for her performance against Manchester City.
Steffen stays in Canberra for his Queens of the Week with Sally Jean Davis (Shipard) and the South Canberra Bees. Sally runs workshops introducing woodworking skills to women, children and LGBTQ+ communities. A group of Bees players participated during the year and as a result, all the club trophies (around 10 of them) were created and lovingly made by hand for the club.
