The clash of the round was between Montpellier HSC and Olympique Lyonnais. Both Mary Fowler and Ellie Carpenter were starters.
The European Champions gave no chance to Montpellier, winning 5-0 away from home. Fowler was subbed off at the 75th minute. Once again, Carpenter played the whole game and delivered a high level performance. Her duo with Delphine Cascarino makes OL’s right flank one of the most exciting and promising sides in the D1 ArkĂ©ma.
In a post-game interview, Jean-Luc Vasseur (OL coach) said: “She [Carpenter] integrated very well. She feels at home. We’re thrilled for her. It will still progress.”
