With two Aussies and Matildas competing in the D1 Féminine, Beyond 90 will be keeping readers up to date with how our players, and the teams they’re playing in, are faring.
Round 14 was full of suspense and goals! The opening game saw FC Fleury win 1-0 against Montpellier HSC thanks to Nikola Karczewska‘s fifth minute header which deflected off Sarah Puntigam. Mary Fowler came in at the 73rd minute for Montpellier but they weren’t able to avoid defeat.
Paris FC won 2-1 at home to AS Saint-Etienne. The visitors took the lead thanks to Kelly Gago (23′), but then Leonie Multari scored an own goal just before halftime, under pressure from Clara Matéo. Gaëtane Thiney is now back in France and scored the winning goal for Paris FC on 56 minutes. PFC now have a five game winning streak and stand 3rd in D1 Arkema.
Olympique Lyonnais won 1-0 against Girondins de Bordeaux and Ellie Carpenter was named player of the match after an outstanding performance. The Aussie delivered a great ball to Melvine Malard for the only goal of the game (25′). OL’s first half was very good but Bordeaux were better in the second half. Eugénie Le Sommer received two yellow cards and was sent off at the 60th minute. This game was Sarah Bouhaddi‘s 300th, Ada Hegerberg‘s 200th, Griedge Mbock‘s 150th, and Lindsey Horan‘s 1st game with the club.

Stade de Reims defeated FF Issy at home in a seven goal game with a crazy finish. Issy opened the score on five minutes with a great combination concluded by Allie Thornton, then the hosts responded three times with Melchie Dumornay (8′), Océane Deslandes’s header (28′) and Vicki Becho, on loan from OL (45′). After halftime, both teams showed good play but the visitors came back to 3-3, thanks to Julie Rabanne‘s 52nd minute free-kick and Emily Alvarado‘s own goal in the 82nd minute. There were scenes for Stade de Reims in the 92nd minute as they scored the golden goal, with Tetyana Romanenko capitalising on a penalty area scramble after a corner-kick. Issy’s coach received a yellow card in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
Paris Saint-Germain won 6-2 at EA Guingamp. Marie-Antoinette Katoto, still only 23 years old, became the club’s all-time topscorer with 132 goals (in 148 matches), surpassing Marie-Laure Delie (131 goals – including 103 goals in 105 D1 Arkema games). Guingamp resisted for 20 minutes but after that point this game looked like a recital for PSG. Grace Geyoro scored a header from a corner-kick (21′), Sara Däbritz showed her talents with a chest control, a left foot touch and a goal (28′), Katoto headed in for her 131st PSG goal (37′) and Däbritz scored again on 42 minutes. In the second half, Kadidiatou Diani made it 5-0 despite two consecutive stops from Cindy Perrault (56′). Katoto then scored again and her 132nd PSG goal was a screamer – an acrobatic volley set up by Däbritz’s pass (67′). Guingamp, with honour, scored two late goals thanks to Sarah Cambot (75′) and a great strike from Louise Fleury (80′).
