With Matildas defender Ellie Carpenter competing in D1 Féminine, Beyond 90 will be keeping readers up to date with how Carpenter and her team are faring.

Le Havre earned a good point by drawing 1-1 with FC Fleury 91. Although FC Fleury took the lead thanks to Batcheba Louis (66′), Le Havre equalized in a dramatic finish thanks to substitute Sadie Sider Echenberg (87′). FC Fleury dropped two important points and are now five points away from a European spot.

Paris FC occupy the final European place and also dropped two points after their goalless draw against Girondins de Bordeaux.

Dijon FCO were leading against Rodez AF thanks to Madeline Roth’s penalty (13′), but Rodez’s Canadian pair turned the game around: their key player Alexandra Lamontagne scored at 51′ and Amandine Pierre-Louis gave her team the lead at 59′. Despite introducing Roselord Borgella at 73′, Dijon couldn’t find another goal and lost at home.

Stade de Reims won 3-1 against ASJ Soyaux. Rachel Corboz opened the scoring for Reims but Soyaux reacted with Binta Diakite’s strike on 40 minutes. Soyaux were close to earning a point but the irresistible Melchie Dumornay (86′) and Thelma Eninger (90+2′) scored for Reims. Soyaux, the last women’s only club in the French top tier, are now six points from safety.

Olympique Lyonnais didn’t give EA Guingamp a chance, winning 6-0. Signe Bruun scored the first two goals (10′, 29′), then Vicky Becho made it 3-0 at the break (41′). In the second half, Ada Hegerberg made her return to the pitch following 209 days away from playing and scored after 64 seconds on the field (71′)! Eugénie Le Sommer (80′) and Danielle van de Donk (81′) rounded off the scoring.

Paris Saint-Germain won 1-0 at Montpellier HSC thanks to Ramona Bachmann (40′). However, the highlight (and lowlight) of the game was the duel between Montpellier’s goalkeeper Lisa Schmitz and PSG’s captain Kadidiatou Diani. Diani missed a penalty kick at 39′ (over the bar) and the two were sent off at 87′ after a fight –  an unfortunate way to end the game.
