We’re excited to once again bring you details of Aussies playing in Nordic football leagues (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland). Read on to see how they fared over the last week in our Nordic Wrap!

Damallsvenskan Round 24 – the third-last of the season – saw victories for three of the four teams featuring Aussies, all away from home.

Fourth-placed Kristianstads DFF asserted their dominance over tenth-placed Linköping FC with a 2-0 away victory. The team that started their Aussies triumphed, which is what we like to see. Neither Polly Doran nor Angie Beard made it off the bench for the home side, whereas Remy Siemsen played the opening 68 minutes and Clare Polkinghorne the full match for the visitors.

Finally, FC Rosengård’s bid for a perfect season is over after they lost 3-2 at home to Hammarby.

FC Nordsjælland recorded their fifth consecutive win and fifth consecutive clean sheet in all competitions with a 2-0 away triumph over Odense Q. Winonah Heatley played her customary full game for the Tigers, while Malia Steinmetz played the first hour of the contest. Nordsjælland are three points clear at the top of the Kvindeliga as we head into the international break.

Heatley is now in camp with the Matildas – hopefully the photographers can keep up with her!

AGF earned three priceless points on their travels, defeating Brøndby 1-0, with Ally Green making her first start of the season and playing the full 90 minutes. This result saw AGF move off the bottom spot, leapfrogging Kolding in the process. Kolding had a tough time on the weekend, losing 5-0 away to Køge – Ava Collins was subbed on in the 64th minute.
