The league took a weekend off, making way for Danish Cup semi final 1st leg action!

In an all-top tier affair, AGF defeated Brøndby 2-1 at home with a goal in each half. Unfortunately for us, neither Aussie received any playing time, with Matilda McNamara remaining an unused substitute and Ally Green not named in the squad.

Things were a lot more comfortable for FC Nordsjælland, who scored seven goals without reply in their 1st leg encounter with NIF / HG. Winonah Heatley and Malia Steinmetz both played full games, and the Football Fern also got on the scoresheet.

Round 3 of the Damallsvenskan saw Vesna Milivojević debut for IFK Norrköping. Playing 94 minutes, Milivojević was the sole scorer of her team’s 1-0 home victory (on synthetic) over Trelleborg.

Clare Polkinghorne and Amy Sayer started for Kristianstads DFF in their home 2-0 loss against Hammarby. Sayer played an hour and Polkinghorne was on the field for the full game.

Awful news emerged following the game that Sayer suffered an ACL injury during her time on the field.

Angie Beard was an 84th-minute substitute for Linköping FC in their 2-1 home defeat against Växjö DFF. Here’s the view from Beard’s balcony in Sweden:

Finally, a hamstring complaint still prevents Aivi Luik from being listed on the BK Häcken team sheet. Her team got the job done without her, overcoming Piteå IF 3-1 at home.
