In Round 7 of the Kvindeliga‘s second phase, FC Nordsjælland travelled to AGF and drew 1-1. The game time for our Aussie and Kiwi friends followed the recent pattern – full game for the Nordsjælland duo of Winonah HeatleyMalia Steinmetz, while for AGF, Matilda McNamara was subbed on in the 89th minute and Ally Green wasn’t part of the match day squad.

HB Køge kept their faint title hopes alive with a 2-0 home triumph over Brøndby. Daisy Cleverley started, played 56 minuted and scored. Claudia Bunge was named on the bench but didn’t see any playing time.

Nordsjælland’s draw means they now have a two point lead over 2nd-placed Brøndby, with Køge five points off the top and in 3rd place. There are three league games left in the season.

Two rounds – 5 and 6 – were played over the last week in the Damallsvenskan.

There were mixed fortunes for Vesna Milivojević‘s IFK Norrköping, with a 2-0 away loss to Hammarby followed by a 2-1 home win over Örebro. Milivojević played almost an hour of the first game and the entirety of the second, where she provided an assist.

There was a similar mixed bag for Clare Polkinghorne and her Kristianstads DFF team, who are adjusting to the absence of Amy Sayer (ACL). Polkinghorne played a full game of Kristianstads’s away 2-4 loss against Örebro, then backed it up with the last 10 minutes of their 3-1 home win over Trelleborg.

Angie Beard was an unused substitute for both of Linköping FC‘s games this week, the first a 3-1 loss away to Vittsjö, and the second a 1-0 home win over AIK.

Finally, a hamstring complaint is still keeping Aivi Luik from being listed on the BK Häcken team sheet. The week started well enough with a 3-0 away win over Växjö DFF, but they then slumped to a 2-0 home loss against FC Rosengård.
