Hásteinsvöllur in Vestmannaeyjar, Iceland, home ground of IBV

Aussies are currently playing in two Nordic leagues, and Beyond 90 will be there to follow their progress each week!

All but one game involved at least one Aussie in Round 17 of the Damallsvenskan over the weekend.

There were three Aussies in the contest between BK Häcken and the visiting Kristianstads. The match finished 1-1 with the home side ruing a missed first-half penalty.

Aivi Luik played the entire match for the home side, as did Amy Sayer for the visitors.  Remy Siemsen started and was substituted deep in added time for Kristianstads.

Daniela Galic started and provided an assist for Vittsjö GIK‘s second goal in their 3-2 home win over FC Rosengård. A yellow card was brandished at her early in the second half, and she was substituted in the 66th minute.

Polly Doran started for Linköping in their 2-1 away loss against Växjö, coming off in the 81st minute. The home side scored in the 84th minute to take all three points.

In a high-stakes match between the two front-runners, Malmö FF lost 2-1 against Hammarby in front of the gathered Hammarby masses. Courtney Nevin was there for the duration in a game that saw her team relinquish top spot.

Jada Whyman played a full match for AIK in their home 1-0 loss against Piteå, but Angie Beard is still absent from their match card. The home side conceded in the 75th minute.

The big news for/from Whyman came a little earlier in the week, with her contract renewed until the end of 2027!

Vesna Milivojević played a full match and Deborah-Anne de la Harpe 76 minutes in  Norrköping‘s topsy-turvy 3-3 home draw against IF Brommapojkarna. Ahead 3-1 just on the hour mark, Norrköping would have been disappointed to concede two goals in the last half hour.

Kolbotn, with their Ferns Jacqui Hand, captain Liz Anton, and Olivia Chance, visited fourth-placed LSK Kvinner as the Toppserien resumed with Round 19 fixtures. Down two early goals, Kolbotn forged ahead to a 3-2 halftime lead in a thriller. Chance was in the thick of the action, picking up a yellow card and an assist.

The home side struck back in the second half, however, and by the 73rd minute was ahead 4-3, the final score. All three Ferns were on the pitch for the entirety of the contest.
