Hásteinsvöllur in Vestmannaeyjar, Iceland, home ground of IBV

Aussies are playing in three Nordic leagues in 2025, and Beyond 90 will be there to follow their progress each week!

Three draws and a win for teams containing Aussies in Round 6 of the Swedish Damallsvenskan competition last weekend, not a bad return!

Our winner was Kristianstads, who took their match 3-2 away at Växjö despite their centre back being dismissed for a red card in just the fifth minute of the match. Down 2-1 at half-time, a remarkable second-half performance led to two further goals and the win. Amy Sayer and Remy Siemsen came off the bench in the 57th and 89th minute, respectively.

On paper, Vesna Milivojević‘s 7th-placed Norrköping did well to draw 1-1 away to 2nd-placed Djurgården. In truth, though, they’d be crushed to not hold onto a 15th-minute one-goal lead, conceding an equaliser in the 90th minute. Milivojević started and played the entire match.

The draw was Norrköping’s third game in ten days; they also celebrated a 2-1 win over BK Häcken in the semi-final of the Svenska Cup in the last week. Milivojević also played that entire match.

Norrköping takes on Hammarby in the final of the Svenska Cup on May 22nd.

Jada Whyman played a full 90 minutes, with Angie Beard at 86 minutes close to matching her, in AIK‘s 0-0 away draw against Vittsjo. Both teams are perched precariously outside the relegation zone.

Polly Doran was an 82nd-minute substitute for Linköping in a 1-1 home draw with third-placed Malmö.

Third-placed Brøndby avenged their Danish Cup semi-final loss to Nordsjælland a couple of weeks ago by overcoming them 1-0 away in their Round 6 Kvindeliga Championship group match. Winonah Heatley played out the full game.

Liz Anton was unfortunate to deflect a ball into her own net in Kolbotn‘s 3-1 away loss to  Bodø/Glimt in Round 8 of the Toppserien. Both Anton and midfielder Olivia Chance played the entire match. The loss dumped Kolbotn back into the relegation zone, with Bodø/Glimt now one place out of the zone.

There are no Aussies currently listed as playing in the Icelandic competition. If that changes, we’ll be following their progress.
