Hásteinsvöllur in Vestmannaeyjar, Iceland, home ground of IBV

Aussies are playing in three Nordic leagues in 2025, and Beyond 90 will be there to follow their progress each week!

There were two wins, a loss, and a draw for Aussies playing in Round 9 of the Damallsvenskan on the weekend.

Amy Sayer had the perfect lead-in to the international break as her Kristianstads side toppled ladder leaders Hammarby 2-0 at home. Sayer scored the first goal in her 72 minutes on the park, with teammate Remy Siemsen entering the game a minute later and providing a lovely assist for the second goal. The win keeps Kristianstad in fifth position.

AIK bounced back from last week’s loss, defeating Växjö DFF 2-0 away from home. Angie Beard was missing from the AIK lineup but has been spotted training with the Philippines team, while Jada Whyman played the entire match.

Vesna Milivojević‘s Norrköping played out a disappointing scoreless draw away to bottom side Alingsas, leaving Norrköping poised just out of the bottom three. Milivojević played the entire match.

Linköping extended their recent pattern of narrow losses, going down 2-1 away to Piteå. Polly Doran entered the game in the 62nd minute.

In the wake of last week’s Danish Cup disappointment, Winonah Heatley‘s Nordsjælland resumed league duties in Round 8 of the Kvindeliga. Two goals in the first half hour set them up for a 2-1 home Championship Group victory over Odense, with Heatley playing the entire match.

Heatley spoke frankly this week to Channel 10 about how her experiences leading her Danish side make her a future leadership option for the Matildas.

A tough 6-1 Toppserien home loss for Kolbotn against title contenders Vålerenga sees Liz Anton and Olivia Chance‘s team still in the relegation zone after eleven rounds. Down just 2-1 at halftime, the visitors ran away with the game in the second stanza.

Anton played a full game, while Chance was substituted in the 75th minute.
