Four Nordic countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland) are hosting Aussie players this year, read on to see how they fared during the past week!
In Round 14 of the Toppserien, sixth-placed LSK Kvinner recorded a solid 2-0 win over eighth-placed Arna-Bjørnar at the LSK Hall. Julie Dolan Medal winner Fiona Worts continued her recent goal-a-game form since winning a starting position, scoring LSK’s first in a game where the winning margin probably should have been greater.

Round 14 of the Damallsvenskan saw FC Rosengård continue their ladder-topping ways with a home 5-2 win over tenth-placed Umeå. Teagan Micah played a full game but Charli Grant – having scored her first for the club last round – was not listed on the match-card.
Fifth-placed Vittsjö GIK defeated highly rated BK Häcken 3-2 away. Katrina Gorry and Clare Polkinghorne played a full game each, with the result pushing Häcken out of the top three – somewhat of a rarity in recent years – as Vittsjö drew level on points with their opponents.
Seventh-placed Hammarby enjoyed a comfortable 4-0 home win against eleventh-placed Kalmar. Courtney Nevin provided an assist for the first goal, while for the second time Kyra Cooney-Cross was listed on the match card but didn’t take the field.
Remy Siemsen‘s AIK may sit at the foot of the table but they took the fight to their opponents in an encouraging 2-1 away loss against second-placed Linköping. Siemsen contributed 68 minutes to the AIK cause. The below post from AIK’s Instagram account refers to the half-time score.

Up 2-1 at half-time, Susan Phonsongkham and Margaux Chauvet‘s KR Reykjavik finished with a 3-3 away draw against Thor/KA. While still in the relegation zone, the result sees KR move up the ladder into ninth place, with reason to believe they can continue their climb. Phonsongkham scored KR’s third from the penalty spot and had a significant role in another goal with a cheeky backheel in the lead-up. Both Aussies played a full game.
