Women’s sport has arrived!

While it has always been here, it hasn’t always received the coverage and respect it deserves.

We will change that.

Beyond 90 (B90) has been formed to cover and celebrate women’s football.

We’re here to take you on an informative and positive journey chronicling, promoting and sparking conversation about the game.

Our mission is to take you beyond the goals and beyond the pitch.

Beyond 90 will unapologetically write about girls’ and women’s sport to ensure more visibility of the game and to continue to bring heroes closer to the next generation.

We are experts in the game, we are leaders in independent media, we are diverse, we are supporters and we are a part of your community.

Our team has more than 50+ years of involvement in women’s football.

We’re accomplished and so full of energy and passion for women’s football. Collectively the team has covered the biggest tournaments in the game including:

  • the FIFA Women’s World Cup (2007, 2011, 2015),
  • AFC Women’s Asian Cup (2006, 2014, 2018),
  • the Olympic Games (2012, 2016),
  • all eleven seasons of the domestic Australia women’s football league, the W-League.

Our individuals are our strength. We have different opinions but we’re always respectful.

We love the biggest games but we also love the grassroots. Whether it’s happening at the grandest stadiums in the world or the local suburban pitch, B90 aims to cover it all.

I’m here because I love the game. I want all of our voices to be heard. I want the stories in women’s football to be told.

Special thank you to Kieran Theivam for growing the community at WoSo Zone / Footy SpotLight with his skill and incredible passion for women’s football. We look to continue build on his legacy through Beyond 90 and Kieran will be joining us along the way.

So what’s next? A big thank you to all of you for joining us already.

The Matildas are preparing for the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019, the local grassroots and community seasons are kicking off and Australia’s talented players are heading to overseas leagues.

We get to work!
