Traci Bartlett (Cap 67) and Sharon Black (Cap 68) both debuted in 1991, playing 64 and 66 matches respectively for the Matildas.

Traci was a defender who notched up 64 games (51 A Internationals) and one goal, scored in a 1991 World Cup qualifier. In 1999 she was voted Australian Women’s Player of the Year.

Playing as a midfielder, Sharon’s 61 A International games delivered 20 goals. She played internationally with Fortuna Hjørring, appearing in the 2003 UEFA Women’s Cup Final alongside Alison Forman.

Tracey and Sharon were both named in the FFA 1990s Team of the Decade.

Maj – American woso fan Margaret Seiler created this amazing Halloween costume!

Eric – Denise O’Sullivanwhat a surprise! 😉 – scored the winner in the Republic of Ireland’s 2-1 win over Finland and was named Player of the Match.

Dale – Brazil’s match with the Matildas was thrilling viewing, but the team’s celebrations with the Brazilian fans at Western Sydney Stadium was something special to behold. 

Steffen – Clare Wheeler backed up her busy and impressive second half performance against Brazil on Tuesday with a 30-hour trip back to Denmark, followed by a full game for Fortuna Hjørring and her first goal for the club.

Cheryl – Adelaide United player Josh Cavallo, who came out as gay in the past week and whose courage will help other young people in a similar situation.
