The FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy is headed to Australia as the next stop on its global tour.

Between 12.00pm and 1.30pm at First Fleet Park next to Circular Quay Wharf, the trophy will be on display with fans provided the opportunity to take photos with the biggest prize in women’s football.

“I am so pleased we are able to bring the Women’s World Cup Trophy to Australia ahead of what is going to be the biggest Women’s World Cup in history,” said FIFA’s Chief Women’s Football Officer, Sarai Bareman.

“The Matildas are among 24 countries that will compete in France this summer and I know from following the team over the last few years that there is a real buzz around women’s football in the country thanks to their performances and the continued growth of the domestic W-League.

“I can’t wait to see fans at the event on what is sure to be a very special day for women’s football in Australia.”

Since the tour was launched in February 2019, the handcrafted trophy has visited fellow World Cup nations France, Jamaica, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, United States, Korea Republic, Japan, and China.
