Our special guest is Republic of Ireland international Aoife Colvill!

Steffen revels in having a guest that used to play for Canberra United and also gives us the latest Nordic news. Maj entertains with a Queensland NPLW wrap, Dale cops the usual banter about his Everton allegiances, and Cheryl tries to keep everyone on track so we don’t have a three hour podcast.

Queens of the Week

Cheryl – uncharacteristically spreads a rumour

Dale – Wendie Renard made her 100th UEFA Champions League appearance

Eric – Claudia Cholakian from NPL NSW side Sydney Olympic, because 1) she scored an 89th minute winner on Sunday against Bankstown City 2) she received her second cap for Armenia in the most recent international window

Maj – Caroline Graham Hansen scored a “dirty” goal

Steffen – 1) Sammie Wood, an ex-Junior and Young Matilda who also played for Newcastle Jets and Canberra United. Sammie is known more as a Super W Brumbies player and a rugby league player, however she quietly signed for Tuggeranong United this year. Her participation in the game against Canberra Croatia on Friday marks a return to football at age 30 after 6 years. Tuggeranong now have a couple of super Sammies (the other being Sammie Emms)!
2) Michaela Thornton, who scored her first international goal in 16 years (last time was on grass) playing in the ProFutsal tournament against Indonesia
