Olympic Qualifier | Update & Match Center
Welcome to the update & match centre for the 2020 Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Qualifiers (Rounds 3 and 4). 

  • The Matildas played in Group B of the third qualification round.
  • Matildas matches were broadcast live on Fox Sports, Kayo Sports, and the My Football Live App, and delayed on ABC TV; Fans outside of Australia were able to watch these games on the myfootball youtube channel 
  • The first placed team from the group played Vietnam (runner up of Group A) and second spot played South Korea (winner of Group A) in a home and away playoff round (Round 4) after Group B finished off on 9 February – see below for details.
  •  The Matildas were victorious in their Round 4 home and away playoff games against Vietnam AND HAVE QUALIFIED FOR THE 2020 OLYMPICS (now postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic)
