Walsh is undeniably an Australian football legend. She played in the 2004 Olympics and the 2007 World Cup, as well as the 2006, 2008 & 2010 Asian Cups.
She played in the W-NSL for both NSW Sapphires and Queensland Sting, before going on to A-League Women stints with Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers. Walsh also played in the United States for Pali Blues, Sky Blue FC, Saint Louis Athletica and Boston Breakers.
The former Matildas forward has been working in various capacities for Football Australia over the last 11 years, and in January 2021 she was named Head of Women’s Football, Women’s World Cup Legacy and Inclusion.

Stacey sustained a concussion during todays fixture and was taken from the field by paramedics.
She was taken to hospital for precautionary scans of which have all come back clear.
