Happy Birthday Tori Tumeth

Matildas Debut: 2024
Grassroots Club: Manly United
Appearances: 6 (2 goals)
Position: Defender

Matildas

Matildas 1-2 Colombia

I kinda need a large chunk of Australian media to understand that losing game, especially between competitive tournaments is nothing new for #Matildas fans.

Losing isn’t the issue, playing badly isn’t even the issue. That happens.

The issue is no long or medium term plan and no permanent coach.

i wonder how much of this reticence to do a more hardcore refresh, both in individual games and long-term, is because key stakeholders aren’t yet ready to process that the “golden generation” era is over without a whole lot to show for it.

You just don’t need to fly a player across an ocean and hammer them for three games in seven days, especially not when you know exactly what that player gives you and you’re playing a trio of friendlies under a interim coach.
It’s as pointless as the HB in my pencil case.

Putting on my APL/ Money Hungry club owners hat. Imagine the money these clubs could make if these players were on full time contracts for extended periods of time?
