Beyond 90 Podcast: Season 12 Round 5

The Beyond 90 Podcast: Season 12 Round 2 is in! Groubes, Molly and Cheryl cover as much ground as an attacking midfielder in this edition.

We kick off with Groubes cheering for the wrong team when Canberra United took on the mighty Melbourne City Matildas at McKellar Park.

Molly goes studs up and calls Melbourne City out for playing boring and conservative football.

Canberra’s Simone Charley gets a good wrap, with Groubes wondering if Australia’s W-League defenders are ready for her.

Cheryl is already reminiscing about that Natasha Dowie goal and the massive saves from Casey Dumont.

The crew talk about the AFC’s announcement regarding Women’s Football Development plus we wrap up the rest of the Round 2 games and jump right in to talk about what’s coming in Round 3.

Groubes gives some shout outs and shares a bit of great news about Nicole Begg.

And just when you think you’re in the home stretch, there’s time for reflection on which tournaments are the best for spectators to watch? Groubes gives her insights on the Asian Cup versus World Cup and the Olympics.

Lastly – is it football, or is it soccer, and how do you begin to have that conversation with your mates in Australia?
