With two Aussies and Matildas competing in D1 Féminine, Beyond 90 will be keeping readers up to date with how our players, and the teams they’re playing in, are faring.

It’s the last round before the winter break!

In the weekend’s opening game, FC Fleury earned important points against Girondins de Bordeaux by winning 2-0. Batcheba Louis drew first blood (22′), assisted by Léa Le Garrec, and Marine Dafeur converted a penalty kick at 78′.

Stade de Reims won 4-0 away to Dijon FCO. Melchie Dumornay gave the lead to the visitors (27′), then Kessya Bussy scored a hat-trick (34′, 57′, 77′). Dijon have struggled in recent weeks, allowing 22 goals in their last four games.

EA Guingamp won 2-1 against Rodez AF, meaning Guingamp move out of the relegation zone at Rodez’s expense. Sarah Cambot’s early goal put the visitors in front (8′) and Aissata Traoré doubled EAG’s lead at 23′. Maud Antoine reduced the deficit (54′), but it was not enough for Rodez to earn a point. Rodez will be cursing their luck after Alexandra Lamontagne missed a penalty kick (11′), while they also had a disallowed goal.

Paris FC shocked ASJ Soyaux with a 6-0 away victory. The festival began with an unfortunate own goal (39′), then Clara Maéto (41′), Ouleymata Sarr (45′), Anaig Butel (50′), Louise Fleury (74′) and Mathilde Bourdieu (90+1′) scored one each.

Montpellier were successful on their travels, winning 1-0 at Le Havre AC thanks to youngster Cyrielle Blanc (61′).

Paris Saint-Germain won the clash of the titans against Olympique Lyonnais (1-0) after Kadidiatou Diani‘s goal from a corner kick. Lyon dominated the game but were unable to make a difference on the scoreboard and both defences, including PSG goalkeeper Sarah Bouhaddi (preferred to Lydia Williams), were on point. The result means PSG go top of the league and are autumn champions – OL could regret this game for a long time.
