D1 Féminine

With Matildas defender Ellie Carpenter competing in D1 Féminine, Beyond 90 will be keeping readers up to date with how Carpenter and her team are faring.

Olympique Lyonnais won 3-0 away to Dijon FCO. Vanessa Gilles opened the scoring on seven minutes from Selma Bacha’s corner kick, then Ellie Carpenter assisted Vicky Becho’s goal in the 44th minute to make it 2-0 at half-time. Ada Hegerberg scored the third goal on 69 minutes. This result is bad news for Dijon, who are now in the relegation zone with two games remaining.

In other news, OL’s president Jean-Michel Aulas is leaving the position after 36 years of service.

Montpellier HSC won 2-1 on the road against FC Fleury 91. While Fleury had an early lead thanks to Ewelina Kamczyk (4′), Maëlle Lakrar equalized at 29′ and Nérilia Mondésir got the better of Chantelle Swaby to score a second goal for Montpellier (57′).

Reims scored five in their away game against Le Havre AC, after a scoreless first half. The Reims festival began when Melchie Dumornay (48′) and Rofiat Imuran (54′) scored, with Dumornay and Imuran assisting each other’s goals. Le Havre allowed an own goal at 70′, Dumornay scored another one at 77′ and Shana Chossenotte rounded off the scoring at 90+2′.

Rodez drew 1-1 against Girondins de Bordeaux and moved out of the relegation zone! Bordeaux had the game in their control as they opened the scoring thanks to Shameeka Fishley (47′). However, Oceane Saunier equalised at 54′ and Rodez resisted Bordeaux’s attacks to earn a decisive point in the relegation battle.

EA Guingamp travelled to ASJ Soyaux and won 2-1. Soyaux drew first blood thanks to Morgane Belkhiter (35′) but Guingamp answered dramatically in the second half with Sarah Cambot (48′) and Alison Peniguel (90+4′). Soyaux will almost certainly be relegated to D2.

Paris Saint-Germain and Paris FC played out a scoreless draw. PSG is sitting in second, three points behind OL, who they meet in the next round.
