With Matildas defender Ellie Carpenter competing in D1 Féminine, Beyond 90 will be keeping readers up to date with how Carpenter and her team are faring.

The last round of the D1 Arkema saw Olympique Lyonnais receive the trophy for the 16th time and Paris Saint-Germain and Paris FC earned their spot for the next UEFA Women’s Champions League. In the race for survival, Dijon maintained itself, relegating Rodez AF despite a relatively good season. Standing last, ASJ Soyaux, the only 100%-women’s team in a national division will likely cease operation after its relegation.

Dijon FCO played for their survival against Montpellier HSC, and won 2-1 thanks to the duo Roselord Borgella – Meriame Terchoun scoring and assisting each other. Borgella opened the score at 28′, and Terchoum doubled the lead at 65′. Montpellier tried to come back thanks to Faustine Robert (82′) but Dijon show some pride and courage to get these decisive three points.

FC Fleury won 6-0 against EA Guingamp. Léa Le Garrec scored twice (7′, 84′), followed by Marine Dafeur (20′), Eweline Kamczyk (39′), the youngster 18-year-old Airine Fontaine (57′), and Rosemonde Kouassi (71′).

Girondins de Bordeaux won 4-2 at Le Havre AC. Ella Palis gave the lead to the visitors (17′) but Le Havre answered a minute later with Salomé Elisor (18′). Bordeaux scored again as Palis served Maëlle Garbino (22′) and 17-year Marie Ateluce (39′). Garbino added one for the Girondins at 68′ and Deja Davis scored at 90′ for Le Havre. 2-4 final score.

Olympique Lyonnais won 7-1 as a great intro for their crowning. Dzsenifer Marozsán (2′), Wendie Renard (9′), Melvine Malard (30′), Amel Majri (59′), Eugénie Le Sommer (65′, 80′), and Ada Hegerberg (80′) participated at this offensive festival. Reims saved their honor thanks to future OL player Melchie Dumornay (87′). And as icing on the cake, Ellie Carpenter has been named in the D1’s team of the season!

Paris FC won 4-0 at Rodez AF. Clara Matéo opened the score at 35′, then Mathilde Bourdieu (53′) and Ouleymata Sarr twice at 71′ and 76′ broke Rodez’s hopes for the upkeep.

Paris Saint-Germain won 3-0 at ASJ Soyaux in front of 897 spectators. As said before, probably the last game in ASJ Soyaux’s history. Ramona Bachmann (36′), Amalie Vangsgaard (59′), and Sandy Baltimore (66′) were the goalscorers.
