With Aussies Ellie Carpenter, Clare Hunt and Sarah Hunter competing in D1 Féminine, Beyond 90 will be keeping readers up to date with how their teams are faring.

Round 3

Paris Saint-Germain won by the smallest margin at AS Saint-Etienne. New PSG player Tabitha Chawinga (who joined the club on loan) scored the unique goal of the game at 6’. Clare Hunt was not on the teamsheet.

Paris FC’s perfect journey continues as they won 4-1 at Le Havre AC. PFC’s own starlet Louna Ribadeira opened the score at 4’, served by Louise Fleury who scored a hat-trick (23’, 47’, 76’). An outstanding performance from her. At 76’, Kessya Bussy made an emotional return on the pitch after her knee injury. On Tuesday, PFC will face VfL Wolfsburg in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. Our Aussie Sarah Hunter still was not on the teamsheet.

Lille OSC surprised FC Fleury 91 by winning 2-1. The promoted team earned three important points. While leading early thanks to Léa Le Garrec (2’), Fleury made some mistakes, even conceding a penalty kick at 50’, converted by Julie Machart-Rabanne. But Lille wouldn’t let the visitors earn a point and former ASJ Soyaux’s Jessy Roux gave the win to Les Dogues at 87’.

Montpellier HSC went forward after their draw in Round 2 and won 3-1 against EA Guingamp. While the first half remained goalless, the MHSC came back from halftime with great efficiency. The unavoidable Faustine Robert (59’), Océane Deslandes (62’), and Nérilia Mondésir (69’) made it three nil while Marie-Charlotte Léger reduced the gap (77’).

Stade de Reims won 1-0 against Dijon FCO. Anaele Le Moguedec scored her first goal in the D1 Arkema at 71’.

Olympique Lyonnais won 4-0 against Girondins de Bordeaux. Melchie Dumornay opened the score at 24’ and Kadidiatou Diani scored her first goal – first of many – with OL (26’). Ada Herberg came from the bench and scored five minutes later (77’). Finally, Wendie Renard scored from the penalty spot at 85’. Ellie Carpenter played the entire game as Lyon did not allow a goal.

Round 4

Montpellier HSC can have some regrets as they drew Bordeaux away 1-1. The Girondines even opened the score at 52′ thanks to Andréa Lardez’s penalty kick. Léa Khelifi equalized for La Paillade at 60′. During the postgame interview, MHSC’s forward Faustine Robert said the team must « kick its a** ». After four games, Montpellier is already four points behind Lyon and Paris FC.

Le Havre AC and Lille OSC drew 2-2 in an epic game. The visitors were leading 2-0 thanks to Lorena Azzaro (7′) and Nesrryne El Chad (24′) both served by Maïté Boucly. However, Naomie Bamenga received two yellow cards before halftime (24′, 45+2′) and, Eleven against ten, Le Havre came back at the latest moment thanks to Chanel Tchaptchet (90+2′) and an own goal at the 90+8′ !!!

FC Fleury won 2-1 against Dijon FCO. Once again in difficulty, FC Fleury allowed a goal from Danish Sarah Jankovska at 42′. But Fleury’s Polish duo Dominika Grabowska (63′) and Ewelyna Kamczyk (70′) gave three points to the home side.

Paris FC won 2-0 at EA Guingamp but had to wait 69′ minutes to opene the score thanks to subbed-in Gaëtane Thiney, from the penalty spot. Julie Dufour made it two at 89′. Sarah Hunter was not on the teamsheet.

The game between Paris Saint-Germain and Stade de Reims was abandoned because fireworks were sent to the pitch as revenge from young people « angry » to not be in the stadium. Clare Hunt was not on the teamsheet.

Finally, the derby between Olympique Lyonnais and AS Saint-Etienne was one-sided. Lyon won by six. Vanessa Gilles opened the score at 15′, then Eugénie Le Sommer made the gap at 16′. Le Sommer added another one at 26′ but the player of the game was Lindsey Horan who had herself a hat-trick (23′, 79′, 85′). Ellie Carpenter was subbed off at halftime.
