Melbourne City today announced the signing of Matilda, Emily van Egmond to their squad.

The 26 year-old midfielder has most recently played in the NWSL with Orlando Pride and the Newcastle Jets in the W-League.

Debuting for the Matildas against DPR Korea in 2010, van Egmond has 91 caps and has played in three World Cups (2011, 2015, 2019).

Whilst playing for Newcastle Jets in 2014, van Egmond was the recipient of the coveted Julie Dolan Medal.

Van Egmond has also previously played for Canberra United, Fortuna Hjørring (DEN), Western New York Flash (USA), Seattle Reign (USA), Western Sydney Wanderers, Chicago Red Stars (USA), FFC Frankfurt (GER), VfL Wolfsburg (GER).
