ACT 2021 Season Summary

Too much ACT season goodness to recap here but look out for the ACT 2021 Season Review article coming out this week!

Here’s a little teaser….

Queens of the Week

Cheryl & Rhali – Melbourne Victory legend Christine Nairn, who is retiring to become a firefighter.

Eric – Tahnai Annis and Camille Wilson. The Philippines were trailing 1-0 in the dying minutes of their Asian Cup qualifier against Nepal, before Annis scored in the 90th minute and Wilson scored in the second minute of injury time, sealing a 2-1 victory.

Dale – Czech Republic goalkeeper Barbora Votíková, for holding the high-powered Netherlands attack to a single goal in the 1-1 draw between the two sides. She was only beaten by an 82nd minute goal from Vivianne Miedema.

Steffen – fun-loving Tillies – a timely reminder that even at the national team level it’s important to have fun. It’s the Australian way so kudos to the coaching team for recognising this.
