Game 43 of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup saw Panama take on France in their final group-stage match.
Panama took the early lead, with Marta Cox scoring in the 2′ minute, before France equalised and turned the tables with Maëlle Lakrar (21′) levelling, then a hat-trick from Kadidiatou Diana (28′, 37′ (P), 52′ (P)) as well as goals from Léa Le Garrec 45+5.
Panama managed to deliver a few more incentives for their fans with Yomira Pinzón (64′ (P)) and Lineth Cedeño (87′) bringing the score back to 5-3 until Vicki Bècho 90+10′ added the final blow and a 6-3 scoreline to win the game for France.
