With three Aussies and Matildas competing in the D1 Féminine, Beyond 90 will be keeping readers up to date with how our players, and the teams they’re playing in, are faring.


Montpellier and Mary Fowler won 2-1 against ASJ Soyaux. Fowler played the entire game. MHSC took 5th place while Guingamp and Paris FC had setbacks.

EA Guingamp lost 2-1 against Dijon FCO. Dominated by Dijon, Laura Brock‘s side challenged for the last 10 minutes of the game but were unable to equalize. The Aussie played 89 minutes.

Olympique Lyonnais did the hard work against Girondins de Bordeaux thanks to Eugénie Le Sommer’s early goal. Ellie Carpenter had a solid performance and was named the best player of the match by the fans.

OL and PSG will meet next week, May 30th in a catch game from round 16.

Ellie Carpenter had some words ahead of the PSG game: 

“We knew it’s going to be a tough game. We had a good preparation and we delivered a solid defensive performance tonight. I tried to give the best of myself for the team.

“We are in good shape before this shock against PSG. The team will be ready. ”
