With up to four Aussies and Matildas competing in the D1 Féminine, Beyond 90 will be keeping readers up to date with how our players and the teams they’re playing in are faring.

Mary Fowler scored her first goal of the season and helped Montpellier to win 2-1 against Paris FC. The Aussie came in at the 62nd minute while her team was losing 1-0 and scored the equaliser at the 79th minute with a powerful crossed shot.

EA Guingamp fought hard to contain Girondins de Bordeaux but allowed an “involuntary” goal which was a cross – 0-1 was the final score. Laura Brock earned her 3rd start and she’s now an important piece of her team.

Guingamp now has a four game losing streak and stands in the relegation zone.

Finally, Emma Checker (FC Fleury 91) and Ellie Carpenter (Olympique Lyonnais) had to face each other but Checker is reportedly injured and wasn’t on the teamsheet.

Carpenter was once again in the starting XI. Fleury put Lyon in a difficult situation and could have easily drawn the game, but Kadeisha Buchanan scored in the 69th minute, giving the lead to Carpenter’s side. Lyon was up by three at the final whistle.
