With Aussies Ellie Carpenter, Clare Hunt and Sarah Hunter competing in D1 Féminine, Beyond 90 will be keeping readers up to date with how their teams are faring.

After being eliminated from the French Women’s Cup by Fleury 91, Olympique Lyonnais took its revenge against Fleury in the league with a 4-0 win. Sara Däbritz opened the scoring at 10′, then Griedge Mbock doubled the margin at 13′. Lyon scored the other goals at the end of the game thanks to Däbritz again (83′) and Melchie Dumornay at 86′. Our Aussie Ellie Carpenter played the entire game.

 

Paris FC won 4-0 away at EA Guingamp. Guingamp missed a penalty kick (19′) and the visitors then took the lead thanks to Daphne Corboz at 28′. Gaëtane Thiney scored a brace at 31′ (penalty) and 33′. Kessya Bussy made it 4-0 at 54′ before both teams made some substitutions. Sarah Hunter was not on the teamsheet.

 

Dijon FCO won 2-0 away to Girondins de Bordeaux. Léa Declercq (28′) and Klaudia Jedlinska (45+2) were the goalscorers.

 

Paris Saint-Germain won 5-0 against AS Saint-Etienne. Grace Geyoro opened the scoring at 18′, then Marie-Antoinette Katoto made it 2-0 at 20′. Geyoro scored another goal at 55′. Tabitha Chawinga, who had already set up two goals (for Katoto and Geyoro) added a goal of her own (56′). This season, Chawinga leads the standings for both the Golden Ball and the Golden Boot with 14 goals and 10 assists. Jade Le Guilly scored a late one to make it 5-0 (88′). Clare Hunt was subbed in at 60′.

 

Stade de Reims won 3-1 against Lille OSC. Reims youngsters Sarah Chossenotte (19 years old) and Noémie Mouchon (20 years old), respectively scored a goal (7′) and a brace (35′, 41′). Julie Pian was the goalscorer for Lille (17′).

 

Le Havre AC and Montpellier HSC ended with a 3-3 draw in a heated game. Marion Torrent gave the lead to Montpellier HSC just before halftime (45′). Le Havre answered thanks to Zoé Stievenart (54′). Sonia Ouchene made it 2-1 for Montpellier (59′) but then La Paillade allowed an own goal at 75′. For the third time in the game, MHSC took the lead, thanks to Océane Deslandes and, for the third time in the game, Le Havre equalized thanks to 17 year old Chancelle Effa Effa at 90+3′. Epic!
