Aussies are playing in three Nordic leagues in 2025, and Beyond 90 will be there to follow their progress each week!

Our previous Nordic Wrap reported that the Danish league had already commenced their mid-year hiatus, so let’s see how our Aussies/Kiwis in the Swedish and Norwegian competitions fared before national team squad members departed for international friendlies and their Nordic football summer break.

The Nordic leagues are set to resume in early August 2025.

Round 12 of the Damallsvenskan was a satisfying one for most teams featuring Aussies, as they look to the start of the Swedish summer break.

Amy Sayer and Remy Siemsen both started for Kristianstads in their home matchup against Polly Doran‘s Linköping. Sayer was to play 89 minutes and Siemsen 68 minutes, while Doran entered the game on the hour.

The home side ran out 3-1 winners (footage here) and remain in fifth place, while the visitors maintained their streak of losses and are camped in second last place on the ladder.

Jada Whyman started and Angie Beard came on for the last ten minutes of AIK‘s 4-1 away win over bottom side Alingsas, to head into the break on a good note.

Norrköping made it three draws from the last four games to claw their way out of the bottom three relegation/playoff zone. The 2-2 home draw against second-placed Hammarby (footage here) will give Norrköping a boost as they look to the second half of the season. Vesna Milivojević played the entire match for the home side.

Kvindeliga action ceased a week before the Swedish and Norwegian leagues wrapped up for the summer break.

As reported in the last Nordic Wrap, Winonah Heatley‘s Nordsjælland‘s scoreless draw in their final match ensured qualification for the group stages of the Champions League.

There are no Aussies currently listed as playing in the Icelandic competition. If that changes, we’ll be following their progress.
