With Aussies Ellie Carpenter, Clare Hunt and Sarah Hunter competing in D1 Féminine, Beyond 90 will be keeping readers up to date with how their teams are faring.

During this Round 5, both Clare Hunt and Sarah Hunter got their first minutes in the D1 Arkema. Bienvenue!

Montpellier HSC and FC Fleury drew 1-1 for the opening game of the week. La Paillade took the lead thanks to Faustine Robert (52′) but lost points in the stoppage time as Marine Dafeur equalized from the penalty spot at 90+5′. A bit disappointing this season, the visitors bagged a point and remained fifth-ranked, two points behind the MHSC.

EA Guingamp won its first game of the season against Girondins de Bordeaux despite being reduced to ten for the last fifteen minutes. Leila Peneau scored the unique goal of the game at 62′, while her teammate Aissata Traoré got ejected for two yellow cards in two minutes (74′, 76′).

Paris Saint-Germain won 4-0 at Lille OSC and Clare Hunt was starting for the first time! In a such meaningful game, Marie-Antoinette Katoto scored her first goal back from injury – 468 days after her last goal – to give the lead to the PSG (12′). Tabitha Chawinga (25′) and Sandy Baltimore (45+1′) made it 3-0 at halftime. Our Aussie was subbed off at 46′. Chawinga, once more decisive, served Amalie Vangsgaard who scored just before full-time (90+2′).

Le Havre grabbed three points with a 2-1 win at AS Saint-Etienne. Yet ASSE scored an early goal thanks to St-Kitts-and-Nevis’ Phoenetia Browne (15′). Nadjima Ali Nadjim equalized at 69′ for Le Havre. Seventeen-year-old Chancelle Effa Effa gave the win to the visitors (76′).

Paris FC didn’t give any chance to Dijon FCO as they won with a tennis score, of 0-6. Mathilde Bourdieu (5′), Daphne Corboz (30′), Gaëtane Thiney (36′), Julie Dufour (38′), Margaux Le Mouël (54′) and Louna Ribadeira (79′) led this offensive festival. Ice on the cake, our Aussie Sarah Hunter came in at 46′ with great flashes. More to come.

Olympique Lyonnais won 5-1 at Stade de Reims. Alice Sombath scored her first professional goal at 20′ while Eugénie Le Sommer (43′) and Melchie Dumornay (45+1) scored at the best moment. Back from halftime, OL had to wait until the 87th minute to score another one, from Linsdey Horan and then Amel Majri (89′). Ellie Carpenter, on international duty, was not on the teamsheet.
